am taking automation and systems seriously as both tools for my own business and as a potential service offering, because the creators and business owners who are surviving the current landscape are the ones who have stopped trying to do everything manually. The people I serve are looking for leverage. I want to be someone who provides it.

I am moving toward greater specificity in everything I create. The ebooks, the content strategy work, the ghostwriting services: all of it is being positioned more narrowly, because the market is rewarding specificity in ways it did not before. I would rather be the most trusted voice in a specific space than a reasonably well-known voice in a broad one.

The new internet does not reward creators who think like content producers. It rewards creators who think like business owners. The distinction sounds small but it is not. A content producer asks: what should I publish next? A business owner asks: what does my audience need that I am positioned to provide, and how do I build a system that delivers it consistently while generating sustainable revenue?
